All products sold by Hi-Tech Vehicle Solutions are backed by a 12-Month Manufacturer’s Warranty, unless otherwise specified.

This warranty operates in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.


1. 12-Month Manufacturer’s Warranty

The standard warranty covers:

Manufacturing defects
Faults in materials or workmanship
Hardware malfunction under normal use

The warranty period begins from the date of purchase.


2. What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

Incorrect installation
Improper hardwiring or fuse selection
Damage caused by professional or DIY installation errors
Physical damage, water damage, or impact damage
Misuse, neglect, or unauthorised modification
Normal wear and tear

Professional installation is strongly recommended for all hardwired products.


3. Warranty Claim Process

To lodge a warranty claim, please provide:

Order number
Description of the issue
Photos or video demonstrating the fault
Return of the product if requested

If a fault is confirmed, we will repair, replace, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Products found not to have a manufacturing fault may be returned to the customer at their expense.


4. Extended Warranty Option

Hi-Tech Vehicle Solutions offers an optional Extended Warranty available for purchase at checkout.

Where purchased:

Extended warranty commences immediately after the expiry of the 12-month manufacturer warranty.
Coverage extends for the additional period specified at checkout (e.g., 24 or 36 months total coverage).
Terms and exclusions remain consistent with the original manufacturer warranty unless otherwise stated.

Extended warranty purchases are non-refundable once the original warranty period has commenced.


Hi-Tech Vehicle Solutions reserves the right to assess all warranty claims prior to approval.

The following Installation Disclaimer applies to all products sold by Hi-Tech Vehicle Solutions that require fitting, wiring, mounting, or integration with a vehicle’s electrical system.

By purchasing and/or installing products supplied by Hi-Tech Vehicle Solutions, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Professional Installation Recommended

Many of our products, including but not limited to:

Dash cameras
Hardwire kits
UHF communication units
Brake controllers
Vehicle monitoring equipment

Require connection to a vehicle’s electrical system.

Hi-Tech Vehicle Solutions strongly recommends installation by a qualified automotive electrician or professional installer.


2. Customer Responsibility

The customer is solely responsible for:

Ensuring product compatibility with their specific vehicle make and model
Selecting appropriate fuse taps and wiring methods
Correct installation and mounting
Ensuring compliance with vehicle manufacturer guidelines
Ensuring compliance with Australian road laws and regulations

Failure to verify compatibility prior to purchase does not constitute grounds for refund.


3. No Liability for Installation Damage

Hi-Tech Vehicle Solutions accepts no responsibility or liability for:

Damage to a vehicle’s electrical system
Blown fuses or wiring faults
Battery drain issues
ECU or module interference
Interior trim damage during installation
Fire or electrical malfunction resulting from incorrect wiring
Loss of vehicle warranty due to aftermarket modification

Any damage resulting from DIY installation or third-party installation is the sole responsibility of the customer or installer.


4. Hardwiring & Fuse Selection

Where products require hardwiring:

Correct fuse selection & location is critical
Incorrect fuse taps or circuit selection may cause vehicle malfunction
Customers must verify whether their vehicle requires low-voltage protection systems

Hi-Tech Vehicle Solutions does not guarantee compatibility with every vehicle configuration.


5. Product Instructions

All products should be installed strictly in accordance with:

Manufacturer instructions
Supplied wiring diagrams
Industry best practices

Failure to follow instructions may void warranty coverage.


6. Warranty Limitations

The 12-month manufacturer warranty does not cover:

Damage caused during installation
Incorrect wiring or fuse selection
Water ingress caused by improper mounting
Modifications or alterations
Damage caused by voltage spikes or incorrect power sources

Warranty claims may require inspection and assessment prior to approval.


7. Use at Your Own Risk

Installation of vehicle electronics carries inherent risks. By proceeding with installation, the customer acknowledges that they do so at their own risk.

Hi-Tech Vehicle Solutions shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from installation or use of our products, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Where installation guidance is provided via email, phone, or online content:

Such guidance is general in nature
It does not replace professional installation
It does not constitute liability acceptance
